A4/V2 Rocket - Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center - Hutchinson, Kansas
(Photos by Tracy Dungan)

These photos show the rocket before, during, and after restoration at the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, KS.

Housing the largest space artifact collection outside the Smithsonian Institution's Air & Space Museum, the Cosmosphere is one of the Midwest's top tourist attractions. The Cosmosphere houses the Hall of Space Museum, Carey IMAX Dome Theater and the Justice Planetarium and is home of the Future Astronaut Training Program. This museum is a "must-see" attraction. The Cosmosphere's restoration team is responsible for some of the finest and most historic restorations of rocket history anywhere in the world. This facility has restored many of the finest examples of surviving A4/V2 rockets in the world.

Thanks to Rod Givens and Karen Siebert of the Cosmosphere.
